Actually hybrid SDR's are better than pure SDR's as demonstrated with the 7300, the FT DX 10 handles better noisy environment and doesn't get overloaded when the 7300 does because of that hybrid arquitecture.If I were looking to buy today, I certainly think the FT-710 would offer excellent value compared to either the FTDX-10 or the IC-7300.
